In the life of Ben and Linds

Ben and I have been told we are quite hilarious. For now here is just a peek into some things that have happened this week.

 Ben and I will probably never agree that these two types of Mac and Cheese are completely different! I think the characters ones taste way better than the regular. Ben cannot tell the difference...crazy. I'm the one writing this blog too so you get my side of the story unless Ben wants to hop on and start blogging. That would be the day...
 


This week Ben and I decided to go on a hike we felt like we were a little lost and so I told Ben to follow the river. He called me Pocahontas. That's just how we roll. 

We were watching a TV show and a guy had been kicked out of his house by his wife and was staying at his buddies house. Ben turns to me and says " If my friend gets kicked out of his house can he stay with us?" My response " Which friend and why was he kicked out?" Ben " Good point."

Ben's Birthday and S'more


Ben turned 26 on the 22nd. He loves low key minimal stress type birthdays so I just invited both families over for a fun BBQ in our backyard. It was extremely fun having everyone over. Karlie and Josslyn made a last minute made a trip to Utah. Josslyn’s birthday is today but they went home on Tuesday so she helped Ben with his cake. The cake had whoppers and milk duds on top. I was going for this but it didn’t quite work. Ben didn’t mind though! Ben is such an amazing husband. He is a hard worker, patient, hilarious and much much more!



Ben also took a few days off work to just relax because he works 60-70 hours a week. We went on a hike on Monday. It was the hike we went on for our one year anniversary.  It started getting cloudy when we were headed up and then we were pretty close to the waterfall and it just started pouring buckets! Holy Chicken it got crazy fast! We were hiking right next to the river and Ben got worried it was going to turn bad very quickly. We decided to turn around which was smart because there were a few scary spots on the way back. We were both soaking wet by the time we got to the car. Of course I forgot to take pictures.

On Wednesday we went on hike that I “thought” my friend had gone on it was supposed to be fairly easy and lead to a 40ft waterfall. It was not easy and it was hot and there was not a 40ft waterfall at the end. We took Ben’s little sister Cheyenne and still had a ton of a fun but we were all exhausted when we finished. We figured out we need to be more prepared especially when going on an unknown hike.

Weight Loss take 2: Week 6

I really need to get my butt into gear. I only worked out 2 times this week. I did 3 miles on Monday and 7 miles on Saturday. I didn't drink soda for half the week but then I had some Rockstars later on in the week to wake me up a bit. I think I ate a little healthier but who knows. I'm hoping to get some new running shoes this week because you are only supposed to do a certain number of miles in each pair and mine are way over the limit and I'm getting blisters and other injuries. I lost .6 lbs this week. When I do get my butt into gear I could really be making some progress! Here's to a new week!

So...

I need to take more pictures.
I (Lindsey) quit the mortgage auditing company and started a new job with a home health and hospice company.
Ben got a job offer for the TSA we will find out more about that this week.

Our stove was broken this past week we traded it out for another one my in laws had. As we were taking the broken one next door to my in laws Ben was saying we should just put it on the sidewalk and someone would come pick it up ... 2 seconds later a guy in a truck pulled up and asked if he could have it. LOL! Awesome!

Umm...what else? The marathon is in 12 weeks. Scared out of my mind.

Weight Loss Take 2: Week 5

Hello Hello! I did OK last week. I feel like I did quite a bit better with eating healthier yes even with the holiday and I really cut down on soda. I worked out 3 days last week. Monday I did 2 miles run/jog/walk. Tuesday I did Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. Saturday, are you ready for this? 7 miles! Heck yeah! Almost died, no really. I was not as prepared as I should have been and my sugar got really low not pretty but I finished! Also, I bought a scale today but didn't weigh myself because it was too late from when I like to weigh myself :) This week I swear I'm totally cutting soda out and I'm going to train even harder...I've got too or else I will die in St. George.

Let the marathon training begin :)



Today I officially started my marathon training! Whoo hoo! Feels good! I love signing up for races and different things so I have something to work towards.

In other news Ben and I went to Vegas for our 3 year anniversary. It was perfect, relaxing, and just what we needed.
