Allstate...your in terrible hands

Video Courtesy of KSL.com

So I am furious! I just posted this post and it completely deleted it!
They found Ben's bike...it was part of a huge chop shop bust. This would have maybe been a good thing if we had been treated better
by Allstate and not misinformed and lied to about everything.
We were supposed to get the money for the bike over a week ago.
Allstate had told us since they were paying us out for the bike if the bike was found
it was now theirs.Ben got a call from the West Jordan police that they had found
his bike. After I got off work we went over to the chop shop. It was crazy they
found 12 vehicles at this one location. Trucks,Cars, Motorcycles anything you could think of.
I so wish I had taken a picture it was crazy! The police told us that they were having the vehicles towed that night
and that our insurance would pay for it. Which makes sense because technically Allstate told us it was their bike now.
The next day we are talking to Allstate and they say " No you don't get your money for the bike its actually 30 days
your screwed blah blah blah" WE WERE FURIOUS! Needless to say since the motorcycle has been stolen our claims
lady has not returned ONE...NOT ONE of our calls! We understand that rules our rules but don't misinform people
and then screw them over GEEZ! Anyways so we find out we need to go pick up the motorcycle from the tow yard
Ben shows up a guy comes out and says it will be $480 in cash to take the motorcycle. Apparently, Legally, they can charge
up to $150 an hour to tow it and Apparently it was around an 8 hour tow?! Is this making sense to anyone?
Ben looks around see's all the other motorcycles stolen and asks why no one else has came to pick them up.
Oh, Because no one can afford it! So we call our Allstate agent and they say " Well we can take that $480 off of your
$1000 deductible...thanks for choosing Allstate!" Oh no, Thank you Allstate that helps so much you guys are great!
Like hell you are... Anyways like I said we understand rules are rules but it would have been nice to have known the rules
oh well what can you do? So Ben picked up the bike from the tow guy (btw another guy showed up to pick up his bike..$40 WTC?)
A lawyer whose motorcycle was stolen also showed up and now the state will be suing the tow truck drive for charging
so much and they shouldn't have been charged ... period! So this has all been fine and dandy we can't wait for it
to be over! Right now the bike is being looked over to see how much damage has been done...
I'll keep y'all posted.
Everythings going to be just fine... :)
