The marathon is less than a week away...oh my goodness. I am quite scared but I'm just going to go have fun and do my best even if I walk the whole damn thing. I just have to remember my mind is the most powerful thing. It's amazing what your body is capable of doing if you don't let your mind pull you down with negativity.

Just another Manic Monday...
Hope that song is stuck in your head now :D So I probably shouldn't post this on my blog because who knows who can get on the internet and stalk the things I post about but whatev. Ben has been working graves the past week and he's working them again this week. His work is rotating everyone because they don't have an actual grave shift person. This situation makes me more on edge than normal partially because I think I have separation anxiety and I watch way too many CSI type shows so me sleeping home alone at night does not mean I actually get a ton of sleep. We do have Duke though which is nice except I think he would come and hide under the bed if someone broke in but I pretend that he will protect me. I'm rambling here but it's been one of those days. I tell myself everyday to be grateful though that at least I get to see Ben and at least he has a job ya know trying to be all positive. Anywhoo...they gave him last night off which kinda sucks because I have to go to work on Monday so it didn't really give us a lot of time together. This morning I woke up late and I put on my dress which I thought was a skirt when I bought it by the way and put on my sandals realizing I had Chem lab after work no sandals allowed so put on my boots that have wholes in them because I'm very picky when I buy new clothing items and it has to be exactly what I was thinking in my head so I don't have new boots yet. Anyways wearing boots it's 80 degrees outside. Don't get any breakfast packed luckily I have a box full of granola bars at work. At work I had to deal with 2 crazy customers/patients who don't really understand how bills work. That's actually a lot for one day. Most patients are very nice and get why they need to pay and just pay it. Anyways, Monday's are stressful because I get done with work around 515pm and I have chem lab at 530pm. My teacher is really cool and doesn't mind me being late but I don't like it. Plus I didn't have time to pick up my goggles and I was freaking out that I wouldn't be allowed to do the lab but she had extras. Well, after I pick up my goggles from the bin this girl in my class is like "oh crap are we supposed to have goggles" and this girl in my group looks at her and says "gosh don't you listen jeez. uh yeah you have to buy your own goggles." Oh wow someone took their biz natch pills this morning. Then we are talking about nursing and our jobs and the one girls says she works with IHC in the pathology lab and the other girl (the rude one) says she's a CNA with St. Marks. They ask me what I do and I say billing office for IHC. Rude girl says well don't you have any nursing experience and I say yeah I did the CNA for a while but I'm happy with this job I get paid more and I don't have to deal with crazy patients. Rude girl says "well then maybe you shouldn't be a nurse." And I'm thinking maybe she should shut her trap because my sugar is starting to get very low, I'm tired, I miss my husband and Hi I'm sorry do you know anything about me??? Grr...it made me so angry. She's not even like a girl right out of high school either she's like late 20's maybe even early 30's. Then....we start talking about different nursing school programs and apparently she is an expert on them. Oh man... this is my vent. I will not let her get to me. She's Krazy! So excited that today is almost over. And please excuse my grammatical errors in this post they are not my priority :D

Ben is still working at Staker Parson still likes it most days... I am now working for IHC...again. Yes... count 'em. Since I left IHC in March I've been to 1800 contacts, Spectrum Academy, MCA, A Step Forward Home Health. Crazy. Stressful. I've been working with my counselor and looking back obviously it was a traumatic experience for me that through my whole "plan" for a loop. I went back to work to early and freaked out and really ended up missing my job. Well I love IHC's benefits and came to realize that they are a great company even though some of their management kind of screwed it up with me. I'm not a CNA currently with them I work in their billing office on the self pay team. I actually really like it. The people are great. Its a great schedule for school and I get all the great benefits and it pays more than a CNA...crazy. Also, last minute like last night I decided to sign up for school this semester because my finanacial aid went through and I got a grant. So I'm taking Chem online, a Chem lab once a week, and a workout class in the morning. Yeah we have a crazy random life... Love it!

Date Night!
Last night Ben and I had date night :)! We did some out of the ordinary things for us. My pictures are backwards as to which was done in order but that's OK! First we went to go see the mansion at the Salt Lake Parade of Homes. We parked right by the Draper Temple it was so beautiful! The guy who owns it is one of the the agents for Lionell Richie, Justin Bieber, Usher, and worked with Michael Jackson. The house was amazing! It had a ballroom, a theater room, two kitchens and of course much more. It was huge! Then we headed over to City Creek and went into Tiffany's, Rolex, Boss, and then we went over and got two pieces of cheesecake to go from the Cheesecake Factory! It was such a fun night!

The Shack
I just finished reading The Shack. It blew my mind. It was amazing. One of the best books I have read. It made me see things with a whole new perspective. It was definitely life changing. I would recommend it to everyone no matter where in life you are or what your religious beliefs may be. Have an open mind and trust me you won't regret reading it. I want to go back and read it a again and this time take notes there were so many amazing points made that I don't want to forget. I see things a little differently now and I feel at peace with many things. This will be a book I will be reading every year along with Tuesday's with Morrie another life changing book.

In the life of Ben and Linds
Ben and I have been told we are quite hilarious. For now here is just a peek into some things that have happened this week.
Ben and I will probably never agree that these two types of Mac and Cheese are completely different! I think the characters ones taste way better than the regular. Ben cannot tell the difference...crazy. I'm the one writing this blog too so you get my side of the story unless Ben wants to hop on and start blogging. That would be the day...
This week Ben and I decided to go on a hike we felt like we were a little lost and so I told Ben to follow the river. He called me Pocahontas. That's just how we roll.
We were watching a TV show and a guy had been kicked out of his house by his wife and was staying at his buddies house. Ben turns to me and says " If my friend gets kicked out of his house can he stay with us?" My response " Which friend and why was he kicked out?" Ben " Good point."

Ben's Birthday and S'more
Ben turned 26 on the 22nd. He loves low key minimal stress
type birthdays so I just invited both families over for a fun BBQ in our
backyard. It was extremely fun having everyone over. Karlie and Josslyn made a last
minute made a trip to Utah. Josslyn’s birthday is today but they went home on
Tuesday so she helped Ben with his cake. The cake had whoppers and milk duds on
top. I was going for this but it
didn’t quite work. Ben didn’t mind though! Ben is such an amazing husband. He
is a hard worker, patient, hilarious and much much more!
Ben also took a few days off work to just relax because he works 60-70
hours a week. We went on a hike on Monday. It was the hike we went on for our one year anniversary. It started getting cloudy when we were headed
up and then we were pretty close to the waterfall and it just started pouring
buckets! Holy Chicken it got crazy fast! We were hiking right next to the river
and Ben got worried it was going to turn bad very quickly. We decided to turn around
which was smart because there were a few scary spots on the way back. We were
both soaking wet by the time we got to the car. Of course I forgot to take
pictures.
On Wednesday we went on hike that I “thought” my friend had gone on it
was supposed to be fairly easy and lead to a 40ft waterfall. It was not easy
and it was hot and there was not a 40ft waterfall at the end. We took Ben’s
little sister Cheyenne and still had a ton of a fun but we were all exhausted
when we finished. We figured out we need to be more prepared especially when
going on an unknown hike.
