Small glimpse into my brain...

We have no idea what the hell we are doing! There I said it. It's been a stressful past weekish or so trying to figure out what we are doing. Ben was laid off for most of the winter then he was offered a job and that job sucked! They basically had it out for him before he even began. It was really ridiculous. So then we had a talk that went late into the night about moving back to Utah or even Arizona or somewhere besides North Dakota because really why are we even here? I started posting stuff for sale like crazy 1) so we didn't have to move it 2) to help pay for moving expenses. To add to all of this we are in the same amount if not more debt than when we moved up here and our biggest goal was to get out of debt moving up here where the pay is more and yada yada. Well then 1 week ago on Monday Ben got a call from a company in Williston,ND (3.5 hours away from Bismarck) they want to interview him and a guy is flying in from Maryland to do the interview. The interview is tomorrow. Here are some pro's and cons about this job though Pro: possibly very good money. Con:There is no where for me to live out there and if there was it would be ridiculously expensive. Pro: They can probably get Ben housing, best case scenario they can get a lil condo or something we can both live in out there. Con: if they don't then I have to stay in Bismarck all by myself and not see Ben for days on end. Pro: If it's good money we could pay off debt. Con: When we thought we were moving to Utah I applied for jobs in Utah at IHC and they could very possibly want to hire me soon. Which means we get our awesome insurance coverage back, plus IHC has their own nursing program, and it would either be in the Maternity unit or the ER which I would LOVE! In the midst of all this neither of us have a degree (I have my Associate's but it really doesn't help), Ben and I hate the winters up here in ND, when the hell are we supposed to be able to start a family and buy a house. UGH!!!! Yes I'm ranting and this is only a small glimpse into my brain. Thoughts,Comments are always greatly appreciated.

In other news we went shooting on Sunday. Have a mentioned I love shooting the shotgun...Cause I do! I feel bad for Ben though because I really stink at throwing the clay pigeons. So I asked some people who were shooting near us to throw a few for him and then they let him shoot their semi-automatic shotgun...CrAzY but AwEsOmE!

Weapons of Mass Reduction Week 4

This week has really been a struggle for me. Just over a week ago on Sunday we went to an open house for a home for sale. The stairs were really narrow and I fell down the stairs and hit my head pretty good on a hard wall. My head was killing me and my neck hurt and I had a bad headache. I probably should have gone and got checked out but I'm kind of weird like that. Monday I still had a bad headache. I was trying to be "tough" and not think too much of it. On Tuesday I asked one of the Dr.'s at the Chiropractor office I work at to look at my neck. She said it was really swollen on my right side and I showed signs of scoliosis. Even after all that I did an Insanity workout on Tuesday. Wednesday I had a terrible headache and my neck was killing me. Thursday I went back to the Dr. they said I was still in bad shape and they didn't want me turning, lifting, etc and said they didn't want me to work my CNA job the next day and gave me a work notice. Went back on Friday Dr. said not to even do light cleaning around the house and to keep ice on my neck as much as possible so exercising was out of the question. So I only got in 1 exercise day this week. I'm feeling frustrated. When I don't exercise eating healthy doesn't sound as appealing. Also, I've been a little bored lately as well not being able to do much so then I start eating because I'm bored. I still logged everything in MFP. I go back to the Dr. today and I'm hoping to be cleared for exercise. I've been icing my neck and taking aleve faithfully. Our Turkey Trot is on Thursday and I want it to be fun! I'm a little worried about the cold but we will be fine! I really really did not want to weigh in this morning like not at all but I did! I knew if I didn't that that would start a habit of not caring as much again and if I didn't see how I had done during the week that I might just give up.

So I wrote all of that last night obviously not to hopeful about the number on the scale this morning...
I'm down 1.8 lbs. SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! Don't know if the scale is broke or what lol but I'm taking it. Honestly, the more I think about it the more it makes sense. Even though it wasn't my best week I'm still eating less calories than I was before, drinking lots of water, and just being aware of what I'm eating. Like when we go out to eat I think twice before ordering. I try and choose the healthier option even though it still might be higher in calories. I'm really happy. I had such a frustrating week without being able to exercise so for that to work out really motivates me.

School Frusteration

So as you may or may not know I have been trying to get into nursing school for a bit... The way that this all came about is a few years back I was going to go to a technical college and get my medical assisting license. Then after talking to multiple people and doing some research I decided to do nursing instead. Ok hold on let me back up...When I graduated high school I wanted to become a dance teacher and open my own studio and maybe even teach at a jr. high or college. Then I decided I didn't need a degree in dance to open my own studio so why not just get a "back up" degree and I've always been extremely interested in the medical field. So back to me deciding to do nursing school so then after some more discussion Ben and I decided that going through the Army ROTC route would be the best way to pursue a nursing degree. If you go back a little on my blog you can read how that unfolded. Anywhoo, I obtained my CNA as part of a nursing school pre-req it was only like a 2 week class totally worth it. Well now just over 2 years since I decided to do nursing I am yet to be in nursing school and it is going to be about another year before I have the pre-reqs done to even apply. So here is my frustration  Chemistry is one of the pre-reqs for nursing. I took it this semester and have taken today off to study for this class because at this point I am not passing and I have a test tomorrow and a final on Tuesday. Now I am back to maybe wanting to do my MA. Not just because of  the Chemistry class but I'm just frustrated all together like what the crap am I doing????

There's my vent and why I haven't been blogging much lately because I'm trying to freaking pass my class!!!

In other news here is our beautimus Christmas tree. I think we did a pretty good job!

St. George Marathon

Well Saturday was the St. George marathon. We headed down Friday around 130pm and met my family down there. We were staying with my aunt who has a huge house! We went to the expo to get our packets it was packed! They had different booths and fun stuff. Select Health had a place to get your sugar and cholesterol checked. I've been told before that I have a tendency to be hypoglycemic which means that my sugar gets really low really quick and its hard to stabilize it. I got my sugar checked and the lady asked me when the last time I ate was. I had basically snacked the whole way down and had some pretzels and Gatorade before we left to the expo. She said that not to be worried but that my sugar would probably be high because of that...guess what it was??? 60. Its supposed to be at least 80...eek! That totally freaked my mom out and she was glad that we had decided to run together. After the expo Mom P, Dad P, Ben and I, and my Aunt Kumja went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner. My aunt is hilarious  They gave her this crab dip and she made this funny disgusted face it was so funny! Then we went back to the house and got all of our stuff ready for the race. Then we tried to go to sleep because we had to wake up at 4am ..ugh. We all got up got ready ate some breakfast and drove to the bus pickup. We got on the bus and went for quite a ride up the mountain. Mind you its pretty early in the morning but one girl on our bus talked loudly about her personal life the whole freaking time then... the bus stops and everyone stands up to get off and she looks at my dad and goes to touch his chest and is like "Do you have nipple rings?!" My dad's like excuse me? And this lady behind me is like "Do you always ask such personal questions?! My dad has nib guards because when your running it can make guys really sore and even bleed. My hell some people are insane! Who does that?! Then we get off the bus and it is freezing! Oh my gosh so cold! We had old hoodies and stuff to wear! Then as we are walking we lose my mom and dad. Talk about anxiety attack because I was going to run with my mom. While we were looking for them we found my really good friend who was actually my art teacher in high school and our parents are really good friends its crazy! She helped Ben and I find Mom and Dad P. We waited for an hour and a half two hours for the race to start. They had music playing and it was pretty fun but still freezing.

Starting Line.

Waiting for the race to start.

Freezing and my eyes are closed. Awesome!
Then they announced the race would be starting in about 10 minutes so we went to get lined up. They have what they call "Pacers" If you stay with them you will finish in the amount of time their flag says. Ben,Mom P, and I lined up with the 7 hours pacer. She was the last one and as long as you stayed in front of her they wouldn't kick you off of the race course. Then the race began! Oh this lady that was by my mom and dad said she got her nails done so in case they had to pick her up off the side of the road they would know she wasn't homeless...LOL! Anyways, the beginning of the race its always hard not to go super fast because you want to get out of the crowd and some people are running really fast and all the adrenaline its nuts! Well I lost Ben pretty quick but my mom and I stayed together about a mile or so in we took a bathroom break at one of the porter potties. I was wearing a fuel belt with water bottles on it and a pouch and after we started running again I realized I had lost 2 of my water bottles! Dang! Well from then on it went pretty good my mom and I had an awesome pace and we were making some great time. She kept me entertained by telling me about a book she had read. Around mile 7 there was a humongous hill that we walked it was so intense but then we started running again. We felt great and still had an awesome pace! Around mile the ball of my feet started to hurt and I could feel some hot spots on the sides of my feet. I tried to keep going but then the pain got worse and I began to limp. My mom was getting worried because if you start limping you start hurting other parts of your body By mile 13 I was in tears because of the pain and I did not want to give up I was angry at myself for not training and I really wanted to finish. My mom explained it wasn't worth it to keep going one because of my limping I was slowing down and might not finish in the 7 hours and two if I kept going I would make the injuries worse maybe even permanent so despite serious hesitation and anger I got on the first aid bus. My mom kept going and everyone else finished which is awesome!!! When the bus dropped me off at the finish line I took off my compression socks and I had huge I mean huge water blisters on my feet so I must have stopped at the perfect time. My dad said that he thinks it was the best marathon he has ever ran which is crazy he didn't even train and he went back 4 miles once he finished and ran to the finish with my mom. Everyone was exhausted so we went back to the house took showers and my aunt made us the most amazing lunch/dinner it was perfect! That night we had all bought tickets to Tuachans production of Hairspray. Everyone agreed it was one of the best shows we have ever seen and the enviroment was amazing! All in all it was a fun experience but I will never not train again. I'm hoping to run the Utah Valley Marathon in June of 2013.

Just another Manic Monday...

Hope that song is stuck in your head now :D So I probably shouldn't post this on my blog because who knows who can get on the internet and stalk the things I post about but whatev. Ben has been working graves the past week and he's working them again this week. His work is rotating everyone because they don't have an actual grave shift person. This situation makes me more on edge than normal partially because I think I have separation anxiety and I watch way too many CSI type shows so me sleeping home alone at night does not mean I actually get a ton of sleep. We do have Duke though which is nice except I think he would come and hide under the bed if someone broke in but I pretend that he will protect me. I'm rambling here but  it's been one of those days. I tell myself everyday to be grateful though that at least I get to see Ben and at least he has a job ya know trying to be all positive. Anywhoo...they gave him last night off which kinda sucks because I have to go to work on Monday so it didn't really give us a lot of time together. This morning I woke up late and I put on my dress which I thought was a skirt when I bought it by the way and put on my sandals realizing I had Chem lab after work no sandals allowed so put on my boots that have wholes in them because I'm very picky when I buy new clothing items and it has to be exactly what I was thinking in my head so I don't have new boots yet. Anyways wearing boots it's 80 degrees outside. Don't get any breakfast packed luckily I have a box full of granola bars at work. At work I had to deal with 2 crazy customers/patients who don't really understand how bills work. That's actually a lot for one day. Most patients are very nice and get why they need to pay and just pay it. Anyways, Monday's are stressful because I get done with work around 515pm and I have chem lab at 530pm. My teacher is really cool and doesn't mind me being late but I don't like it. Plus I didn't have time to pick up my goggles and I was freaking out that I wouldn't be allowed to do the lab but she had extras. Well, after I pick up my goggles from the bin this girl in my class is like "oh crap are we supposed to have goggles" and this girl in my group looks at her and says "gosh don't you listen jeez. uh yeah you have to buy your own goggles." Oh wow someone took their biz natch pills this morning. Then we are talking about nursing and our jobs and the one girls says she works with IHC in the pathology lab and the other girl (the rude one) says she's a CNA with St. Marks. They ask me what I do and I say billing office for IHC. Rude girl says well don't you have any nursing experience and I say yeah I did the CNA for a while but I'm happy with this job I get paid more and I don't have to deal with crazy patients. Rude girl says "well then maybe you shouldn't be a nurse."  And I'm thinking maybe she should shut her trap because my sugar is starting to get very low, I'm tired, I miss my husband and Hi I'm sorry do you know anything about me??? Grr...it made me so angry. She's not even like a girl right out of high school either she's like late 20's maybe even early 30's. Then....we start talking about different nursing school programs and apparently she is an expert on them. Oh man... this is my vent. I will not let her get to me. She's Krazy! So excited that today is almost over. And please excuse my grammatical errors in this post they are not my priority :D

PT Test, Weight Loss, and New Training Plan...UPDATE!.

Took the PT Test this morning…FAIL. Honestly, I have not passed on my own so why would it be different today? I have decided I need to switch up my training plan a little bit and I need to be able to pass consistently with no question before I take the next PT test. I’m not sure what a realistic time frame for this will be but I’m shooting for before June and we’ll go from there. I’m not going to lie I’m extremely frustrated about it all but I have to keep going. Have to! Want to! And I will! So pushups come first if you don’t do the first 10 right they stop you tell you what you are doing are wrong and then you have to go to the back of the line of another grader. So, that’s what happened to me this morning. First time around no go. Got sent to another grader and he counted 12. I need 17. He told me I really need to work on my upper body strength to improve my form. Next up sit-ups. I did 44 I need 50.  Sit-ups for me are easy to get back into as well as easy to lose. I need to just do sit-ups every dang day. Finally the run… I did it in 21:17. Of course I’ve never ran the 2 miles in 19:40 so why would it be different. Same with pushups I’ve never done more than 17 “real” pushups and had a consistent grader with them. So as much as it was frustrating it was also an eye opener.
As far as my weight loss goes I’m back up 2 pounds. However, I start weight watchers at my work tomorrow. My mom is going to do it with me as well so it will be great to have a buddy. So I’ll start updating weekly again.
Ben and I have some exciting things coming up. We are headed to Wyoming this weekend to visit Ben’s brother, Sis in law, and niece. I’ve never been to Wyoming and it will be fun to have a little getaway. The next weekend is the Spring FTX (Field Training Exercise) for the ROTC down at Camp Williams. It is 3 days 2 nights of camping out, rope climbing, ruck marches…it will be great. School will be over in about 4 weeks which is fabulous. I am not going to school over the summer. Ben’s still not sure. We’ve got to get everything set up to go to Westminster in the fall as well. I’m hoping to get Zumba certified in Juneish? Then we’ve got the Utah Valley half marathon June 11. Putting our names in for the St. George marathon in April and the race is the first weekend in October. I guess that’s about it for now.

Time Out!

I've had a really rough week. Sickness and overwhelming amounts of stress. Don't worry I haven't fallen off the wagon or anything crazy. I'm just going to be taking a time out from blogging my weekly weight loss just until the next PT test which is on March 30. Catch the key word their blogging doesn't mean I'm going to stop what I've been doing with my weight loss I just want to focus until the PT test. Guaranteed I'll lose weight and I'll post some tips here and there and other things that will be going on. Anyways, the latest I'll be back is April 4. Might be sooner depending on how I feel.
Funny how I think I need to "check in" with my blog family or whoever reads this. It is so helpful though to see that people are reading it each week and know that they are waiting to see how I did or didn't do.
I just need some time to focus on a few things maybe I'm just having a bad day but I'll be back no worries and I'll keep trying to lose weight and make changes.

Week Two

Let me start with the positive side of it all. I did some pretty good workouts and runs this week and I worked out 4-6 days I was planning on. The only reason I didn't work out 6-6 is because I could not move thanks to PT for the ROTC on Wednesday I could not move literally I was so sore. If you want to feel like I felt here's the work out we did:
Pushups 10 seconds on 10 seconds off for about 2 minutes until you feel like you are going to die, puke, or faint.
Then you get a 1 minute rest.
Flutter kicks (feet about 6 inches off the ground moving up and down opposite of each other staying as close to the ground as possible) same time frame and everything as pushups
1 minute rest
Squats as far down as you can go, same time frame
1 minute rest
Lunges (knees to the ground each time) same time frame
Then run outside do 15 burpees ( jump straight up in the air then down to pushup and come back up) run around the block or about 1/4 of a mile and do that 3 times.
Thought I was ok and then as the day went on I became extremely sore. I loved every second of that workout though it was awesome! As far as the rest of my workouts for the week Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday I went for a good run and Thursday I did my first class of Zumba. It was so much fun! My friends soon to be cousin in law teaches it in the morning for free. It was awesome and something I could really get into and just enjoy.
Then comes the whole soda/Dr. Pepper/ eating part of it all which I'm not going to talk about but I promise I will do amazing this week.
Also did not make it to Ohio thats the price you pay when flying standby. oh well we will make it out there one day soon.
Same with the whole facebook thing... I think I'm going to start out saying once a day 5 min max and we'll see how it goes.
My weight this week as of this morning is 174. Yup gained 2 lbs. Not sure if its because I didn't weigh my self after my work out or if its because its that lovely time of the month but moving on to a new week.
**I'm trying to lose the weight without going on some specific weight loss program like slimfast or weighwatchers just by trying to eat healthy and exercise but I may be doing one of those options if I don't start seeing results**

Week One

Week one of my new years resolutions went ok. I ran 3 days this week at the olympic oval. Three days out of the six I was planning on running. At least I ran though right? I have no idea how I'm doing on my 2 mile time because the oval is all screwy and no one even the people that work there can figure out how many times it is around for 2 miles. Its either just under 7 laps or just under 8 laps. Its a different size than a normal track. Anyways, either way I haven't even been at 19:30. I'm frusterated, of course, but one big thing is back around the first of December I did a 1.5 mile run for my cardio class and did it in about 14:30 which another half a mile and I would definetly pass my PT test. However, it was on the treadmill which is nice because I choose a pace and then the treadmill helps me maintain it obviously. I need to figure out how to pace myself.

As far as my losing weight goal...eh not so good. So Monday I weighed my self after my run at 172lbs. My goal weight is 140. To pass the weight part of my PT test I need to be down to at least 165. Today I weighed myself after my run and I was still at exactly 172lbs. Great. I did pretty good as far as eating. I do really well in the morning and eat pretty healthy and then as the day goes on I start to munch and snack more. On Thursday we had a work party thing at Toscanos downtown which is like a buffet and then they bring different kinds of meats around. I did pretty well I didn't eat too much I held back it could have been because my acid reflux is really hitting me really hard this week so needless to say almost every time I eat I get sick so eating somedays eating is not appealing even though I'm hungry...it's weird I don't like it I don't know whats going on. Also, Saturdays at my work they bring in Einstein bagels w/ cream cheese and doughnuts all you can eat. Difficult? Just a bit. Also there is all you can drink water :) which I have in my mug all day. There is also all you can drink juice and soda pop every dang day. For some reason when I'm having a bad day I think Dr. Pepper will make me feel better so on Friday and Saturday I had one glass of Dr. Pepper. Terrible. My goal this week is no more Dr. Pepper period! I don't have to say soda pop because nothing else tempts me. Dr. Pepper(any soda) is really bad because 1 it makes you or at least me gain weight and I can also tell a difference in my running when I don't drink it.I do drink a ton of water though which is great!

Week one went did not go as well as I had hoped but I'm not giving up. I'm sure week two will go even better even with the trip to Ohio and school starting...eye yi yi!We are leaving for Ohio to see Ava for her first b-day on Tuesday night and wont be home until Sunday night/ Monday morning. Jason (my bro) said he will work out with me while we are out there and I'm sure Ben will want to work out too. I also did my situps 3 days this week and pushups. I did 50 situps each day and 20 pushups with a mix of real pushups and girl pushups. The PT test I believe is not until January 31st so I should definetly be able to pass. Another goal I have is to do Yoga twice a week. I know some salutations from my Yoga class last semester and I also have the P90x yoga and another yoga video so plenty of resources. I love doing Yoga and apparently for my blood type its really good for me and it relieves stress. It is great to relieve stress just because and also when your stressed you risk being injured easily and it does not help you lose weight.

Little side note I've made a goal for this week no Facebook until Sunday I'm going to try to do that every week while school is going on. I get so caught up in looking at peoples status' and pictures the time flies and I could have gotten a ton done so we'll see how that goes .Anywhoo...thats all I have for this week. Wish me luck!

First Things First

I know Ben and I don't swear a ton and we keep it pretty low key on our blog (I know some of you are laughing for all sorts of different reasons) but anyways we've decided, with the help of family members, that because we have nieces and such we need to tone it down. So no more "pissed, damn, or hell". For those of you you have been around us we say "Hell" all the time. So now that I have written our swear words in this blog for their final farewell on the blog ...Why am I telling you all this??? Because we got at dang virus! Heck! I am so ticked! Oh its a virus on our computer by the way. I am seriously TO'd! I had my first experience with the blue screen of death...Oh my heck! Going to hurt someone! We had to completely erase everything on our computer and some of the stuff got erased by the dang virus. This included pictures, papers, you name it. Some of the stuff we were able to back up but some stuff we lost. Luckily I hadn't erased the pictures off of the camera so thats good.
So I'm pretty sure we got the virus from some punk who decided to hack our internet here at the apartment complex ....
Needless to say when Jesse, our computer genius brother, finds out exactly who gave us this virus, and yes he will find out, we are going to take over there dang com
puter and when they go to google and type in a search next thing you know this will appear on their screen!
Just as a nice, friendly, neighbor to neighbor reminder....
To not use our internet and then give us a dang virus!

Waiting for the gym to clear out..

This has got to be the most randomest blog that I have ever done...

There is one treadmill in our apartment gym and two ellipticals and they are all taken at 1 in the afternoon. I don't understand. I already get upset when someones on the treadmill anytime from 12-1 because thats when I watch Gilmore Girls while I'm running. Today I went down later because I did the ab ripper first...not trying to brag here its not like I did amazing with the ab ripper and I did all the reps or something... no I did not :) Oh and I am supposed to run 9 miles this weekend for the half marathon training so I HAVE to run today!

Thats ok though it gives me some time to blog while I'm waiting... yes I'm waiting until 2 and hopefully someone will be off the treadmill. Its better than that time on a Friday night when I went down there to run and there were a whole bunch of people having pretty much a party in the gym. I put in my headphones and just start running and they come in with chairs and beer and sit down in front of the TV and start watching sports... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I had to run that night though so I sucked it up and as soon as I was done I didn't even cool down I just shut off the treadmill and walked out. Seriously people c'mon.

Ben and I don't know if its us or people lately but it just seems like people are nuts! Not in a good way. The other day we were doing self checkout at the store we were trying to purchase one item that was in box with a bar code. The scanner was not reading the bar code so then it wanted us to type in the #'s on the bar code, meanwhile there is a girl breathing down our neck and tapping her foot! Go to another eisle geez! She is so lucky I didn't slap her! My heck! As my mom would say bless her heart, "Linds, maybe her dad has cancer, her son is in a wheelchair and someone stole her wallet you don't know whats going on in her life." My mom is too cute. But, thats not what I thought I thought I want to maybe slap her she's probably all talk. I'm not usually a violent person but lately I've been thinking some people need a good something something once in a while.

Don't even get me started about driving! I have become kinda an agressive driver I guess and I'm working on it but when I'm in the slow lane and you are tail gating me there is no better way to really tick me off! Yes I admit I've even slammed on my breaks a few times to these people(don't worry I don't do it anymore I got in trouble with Ben and my mom, dad,Jason, and Karlie) Who am I to judge though... sigh... this has got to be the craziest thing I have ever done on the internet... yes this blog that I'm writing write now.

Oh and one more thing... we pay $10 every month for a parking spot at our apartments. Its the last one on the row and theres a spot next to it that has a sign that reads"NO PARKING UNLOADING ONLY". So apparently because people can't park there they park in our spot. Not just even a half and half sometimes they full park in our parking spot. We've complained many times to the management they gave us the tow truck companies number which we keep in the car. One of the tow truck guys told us that if their in the "No Parking" Spot an no one is in the car that we can call them to be towed. The other day I get home from work and I am in a rush because I have to be inside to work at jetBlue in like 5 minutes and there is a truck with a small trailer backed into our parking spot. No joke. My front bumper and their front bumper are like 5 feet away. This guy comes out and opens the door to the truck grabs something and starts walking away so I roll down my window and start saying hey, hey, excuse me! He completely ignores me and keeps walking! I'm not even kidding right now! So I call the tow truck company they tell me they have to verify what I've told them? Fifteen minutes later I get a call from them they say "We've verified that there is someone parked in that stall. What kinda of car do you drive?" I tell them. " Ok we just wanted to be sure it wasn't your car. We'll send someone out right now to tow it." What??? I have nothing to say to that ... wow...oh wow. That was nice of them to make sure I didn't call the tow truck company to have my own car towed out of my own parking space... HELLO PEOPLE GEEZ!

Oh ya! Ben and I went snowmobiling with my family a few weekends ago and last weekend we went to Vegas... still need to blog about all that. We made a video while we were in Vegas of our adventures so I need to wait until we get that edited and then I can post about our trip :)
Ben needs to get on here too and talk about how his new job is going he has some very interesting people he works with. Very interesting.
I have been in a really wierd mood lately so I hope this blog doesn't make anyone think bad of me. For those of you who know me well this is just me being me. And no I don't hate the world in fact I'm in a really good mood today and loving the sun that is shining and that Ben is going to be home in 1 hour!
I'm going to go see if that person is off the treadmill now.

Allstate...your in terrible hands

Video Courtesy of KSL.com

So I am furious! I just posted this post and it completely deleted it!
They found Ben's bike...it was part of a huge chop shop bust. This would have maybe been a good thing if we had been treated better
by Allstate and not misinformed and lied to about everything.
We were supposed to get the money for the bike over a week ago.
Allstate had told us since they were paying us out for the bike if the bike was found
it was now theirs.Ben got a call from the West Jordan police that they had found
his bike. After I got off work we went over to the chop shop. It was crazy they
found 12 vehicles at this one location. Trucks,Cars, Motorcycles anything you could think of.
I so wish I had taken a picture it was crazy! The police told us that they were having the vehicles towed that night
and that our insurance would pay for it. Which makes sense because technically Allstate told us it was their bike now.
The next day we are talking to Allstate and they say " No you don't get your money for the bike its actually 30 days
your screwed blah blah blah" WE WERE FURIOUS! Needless to say since the motorcycle has been stolen our claims
lady has not returned ONE...NOT ONE of our calls! We understand that rules our rules but don't misinform people
and then screw them over GEEZ! Anyways so we find out we need to go pick up the motorcycle from the tow yard
Ben shows up a guy comes out and says it will be $480 in cash to take the motorcycle. Apparently, Legally, they can charge
up to $150 an hour to tow it and Apparently it was around an 8 hour tow?! Is this making sense to anyone?
Ben looks around see's all the other motorcycles stolen and asks why no one else has came to pick them up.
Oh, Because no one can afford it! So we call our Allstate agent and they say " Well we can take that $480 off of your
$1000 deductible...thanks for choosing Allstate!" Oh no, Thank you Allstate that helps so much you guys are great!
Like hell you are... Anyways like I said we understand rules are rules but it would have been nice to have known the rules
oh well what can you do? So Ben picked up the bike from the tow guy (btw another guy showed up to pick up his bike..$40 WTC?)
A lawyer whose motorcycle was stolen also showed up and now the state will be suing the tow truck drive for charging
so much and they shouldn't have been charged ... period! So this has all been fine and dandy we can't wait for it
to be over! Right now the bike is being looked over to see how much damage has been done...
I'll keep y'all posted.
Everythings going to be just fine... :)

Season for an Attitude of Gratitude

Ben's motorcycle was stolen on Thursday night. He went to walk me out to my car to go to work and we realized it was gone ... we began to FREAK OUT! This was really just one more thing that we did not need to happen right now. We had no idea what was going to happen with the insurance and such. I immediately called my mom (at 530 in the morning) and told her what had happened. She told me that what usually happens is they have 30 days to find it and then the insurance pays us for what the bike was worth. Ben later got in touch with the insurance company and they confirmed this. I can't tell you how in so many ways this was such a blessing. There are so many things that we will be able to do with that money! The one thing thats not so great about all this is that we feel a little violated and I just can't believe how stupid people can be. They scratched up my car when they stole it. Little did they know that this was a huge blessing.
Want to hear the crazy part...? We have the bike almost paid off and once it was paid off we were going to have the insurance canceled on it... we have been so close to paying it off and it just hasn't worked out. The bike has been such a burden to us lately we couldn't figure out what to do with it and now ... ITS GONE!Coincidence? I don't think so. This has definitely taught us to look for the good in situations because you just never know how much of a blessing it might be.

Hey kids Story Time Miss Lindsey needs to go to court and talk to the Judge...its a long one!

So... about two months ago or so I got in a wreck. This lady in front of me SLAMMED on her brakes for no reason! So I tried to swerve but I still hit her. She drives off! Ben was following me in another car so I pull over and he goes after her. I talk to a pedestrian and she's like " what the crap was that lady doing?" I was like I do not know. I look at my BRAND NEW 2008 Mazda 3 and the front bumper is all screwed up... I'm paying a lot of money for this car so I'm TICKED! So finally I find Ben down the street a bit. He comes walking up gives me a hug and says the lady is over there ... be nice. I was like what? I was planning on going over there and being like hey I'm really sorry I hit you lets figure this out.. ya know.
So I go walking over and this (trashy trashy trashy) lady comes up and is like "Are you the person who ran into me?!" I say yes. She goes " What the F--- F--- you you effin tail gater blah blah blah..." I'm like OH HELL NO!!! So I get in her face and I was pissed. I was yelling... bad. Who the hell does she think she is?! So Ben pulls me away and we walk off. Mitch gave her a dirty glare... Love ya Mitch! So the police officer finally shows up and he was really laid back... like didn't even want to be there just wanted to go home which pissed me off in this situation.
Anways so I'm writing my report accident thing and we are kinda near BIZNATCH and she's filling out the paper too and it asks "Were you wearing a seatbelt?" and she's all "ya I was wearin a seatbelt good thing too or else I would have been out the front windshield!" I almost punched her I'm serious I've never been so ticked! So Ben... Love him so much! Took me further away from stupid head...Later I found out Mitch was giving her a dirty look the whole time!!! LOL Awesome Mitch. Ben is being so cool about this the whole time BTW he's so amazing. Stays calm hugs me talks to me. Even though I'm ready to kill. So the officer gave me and the lady a citation... me for improper lookout ... her ... get this... NO INSURANCE!!! Hello impound her freaking car!!! Are we all idiots!!!??? Seriously?! Is that not the law!? ok so anyways on my ticket it didn't say that I owed anything it was just a warning. So just to make sure I called and checked online every day for the fourteen days it tells you and they had no record of my ticket... So I didn't have to pay anything ... right? WRONG! Who knew?!
About a month or so later....
I get a notice in the mail saying that $50 has been added to my ticket as a late fee and if I don't pay it they are going to put out a warrant for me... LOL What the crap? What game are they trying to pull here?! So I call and long story short make a COURT appointment. So I go... I have to go into an actual courtroom with a real judge and an officer to make sure I don't get out of hand!!! Sheesh! Is this where my tax dollars are going? Oh heck no!
So I walk in take a seat and the judge is all "Ms. Parry I really have no tolerance for waiving late fees especially when a person is just plain lazy about it so unless you have really good excuse this isnt' going to happen." What a jerk. So I proceed to tell him my story and then he interupts me and is like "Lets talk about the accident. Did you or did you not run into the back of someone?" I say "yes I did." He says " Can you pay your ticket fee right now if I waive the fee?" I say "yes" he says " you can?" " yes I can pay my $120 ticket today" ..... " ok well Ms. Parry I'm contradicting myself but I'm going to waive your late fee"...
So I go out to pay it and the girl tells me that the late fee is still on my record and I have to wait 15 minutes for it to be removed....

Idiots... so sick of them.... I was on the verge of hurting someone... I felt like my brain shrunk througout this whole process... I am really glad I fought for it though! Saved me $50!

SHEESH!
