Hello!

So yes we are in North Dakota and I will post all the updates and exciting information soon and pictures but this post is another "I'm going to lose weight and get fit and healthy" post. So my plan I've already taken my "before" pictures today. I found a thing on pinterest (of course) that give me daily workouts that include cardio and then targets a specific area. It will be Mon-Fri and then Sat is going to be a free day so Yoga, running, zumba whatever I feel like. Sunday is going to be a rest day. For my cardio I'm going to do a beginners running plan that is half run/walk. There is a half-marathon here in Bismarck in September I would really like to run it but I've made a promise to myself I'm not going to run it unless I am fully committed and have trained faithfully for it.  As always with my fitness posts I have to leave y'all with a lil' bit of humor.

Say What?!

This really shouldn't come as a surprise to most you since our lives are seriously so random and crazy. We are moving to North Dakota!! I've taken some of the most likely asked questions and written them with answers (Thanks Valerie for this idea).

Why are you moving? Ben was offered a job up there. They pay extremely well and offer to reimburse him for some certifications he has been wanting to get. He will be testing asphalt and concrete. And...why not? We don't have anything tying us down no kids, we don't own a home.

When are you leaving? Ben has to be up there by May 16th. We are leaving sometime between Tuesday the 14th and Wednesday the 15th.

How long will you be up there for? Ben had to commit to work up there for 5 months. If he wants he can come back to Utah and work for the same company after that time. It all depends on how much we like it and if Ben likes his job up there.

Will you still be able to go to school? Yes I am taking classes for my pre-requisites for nursing online through Weber State. Everything is online except the tests and I am able to get them proctored to me in North Dakota.

What city will you be living in? To start out we are renting a duplex in Bismark,ND. (hopefully, the details are still pending)

Will Lindsey be working? I am hoping to find a job. I honestly like working and I do not want to get bored.

Can you come visit? Of course! Just give us a decent amount of notice.

Are you going to miss your family? So freaking much! But I am sure they will come up to visit and we will be down to see them as well.

How are you feeling about this? Nervous, Excited, Scared, Stressed... I think its going to be a great experience. I'm excited to have an adventure in a new place. It is very stressful though with finals at school, finding a place to live, packing, moving in general.

And We're back...

Thanks for letting me have my pouty post. I'm feeling much better today. I had today off of work which was a genius idea on my part if I do say so my self. I spent my day 1:studying for my biology test that I took this evening 2: taking a much needed nap 3: spring cleaning our bedroom. I feel refreshed and motivated and ready to take on the new week. I'm also trying something new this week starting tomorrow I've written in my planner an exact schedule from the time I get home from work. I'm hoping it will help me get more done and actually set aside time for school. We only have about 4 weeks left of school this semester. I'm still pretty worried about my Chemistry class so if you could all pray/cross your fingers/send out good vibes for me and also any studying tips would be greatly appreciated. I am also planning on working out at least 4 days this week 1 hour each day. I have been going to the gym at night to different classes and I really enjoy it and its very inexpensive I think ($18 for an unlimited month pass) I really had my best weight loss/getting healthy success when I blogged about it so I should probably start doing that again. I found this awesome thing on Pinterest that I am going to try with my lunches this week.

Oh yeah and we bought a new laptop. Dare I say how many we have in our home....Ok fine we have 5. Yeah 5. Don't get me started. But yes we bought a new one because out of the 5 one Saturday night not one of them was fully functioning and we got extremely frustrated and the laptop we had just got the screen fixed on completely stopped working so we went to Best Buy. Ended up getting a really good deal on a Macbook Pro that someone took home for a week and then decided they didn't want it. It didn't look like it had even been opened. Then a few days later the other laptop starting working again. So we have 2 fully functioning laptops. Awesome! Oh so crazy.

Oh so funny...

Anyone else run out of blog titles? I think the majority of my blogs are one of these categories: Holiday's/Special Events, Jobs/School, Me Venting, Me trying to get fit and lose weight. Yup pretty much sums up my blog. So this is going to be such a rambling post but I need to get it off my chest feel free to read it or not honestly I won't know if you do unless you leave a comment and even then you could just be commenting after skimming and not really reading. Anywhoo...if you can't tell I'm on one tonight. This has been one hell of a week. (Sorry if I offend any of you readers but Ben served his mission in England and hell isn't a swear word and we've adapted that concept into our home). So lets back up a little bit and I'll try and keep it as short and simple as possible around February I went to the doctor and had her give me anxiety/depression tests. I had been talking with my EAP counselor about this for a while and one day I was having a really bad day and I was like I NEED to go see if I can get some more help. So they put me on Lexapro... I had no idea what to expect and was kind of worried in all honesty... I'm happy to say it was amazing. My life literally changed it was crazy. I feel sad sometimes to know that I didn't go earlier and get this taken care of. I know everyone has there own opinions about medications and all that but your brain is just like your leg or your arm if its broke you need to fix it and that sometimes that involves medication. Since then I've changed to Celexa because its a ton cheaper. At first I wasn't really sure if anything had changed like if I was just hoping it had. I went back for my follow up with the doctor a few weeks later and I took the same anxiety/depression tests again and we compared them... NIGHT AND DAY difference I kid you not! Ok so anyways since then my life hasn't felt as rollercoastery (yes thats a word) since then and its been great. So with that background... Monday I wake up and mother nature has came to visit and I'm onrier than crap I don't want to get out of bed I'm ticked I'm tired. Mind you Ben has been working the late night shift the past few weeks so that hasn't helped my mood either. I know I should be grateful I get to see him once a day at least but still its rough.  So I call in late to work and sleep till 1015am. Oh yeah and last week I worked out 4 days in a row an hour each day. This week nothing! Sorry if I'm all over in this post its more of a get it off my chest than a making sense kind of post.  So anyway its just been a long week I've been tired and onry and feeling overwhelmed with school. My parents are in the Bahamas this week they have been going once a week during this time of year for the past few years. They have a place to stay with some friends and they fly for free so its a pretty good set up. Well my mom is her parents only living child and they have lots of different health issues so when they are gone Morgan(my sis) and I take over for my mom and dad. Well my grandma fell yesterday morning. She has alzeiheimers and Morgan and Spencer (her husband) went and helped her. Well today the home health nurse calls me at work and says I need to take grandma to the doctor ASAP! because her toe is swollen and bruised. She also has diabetes and there can be a lot of problems with their feet. So Morgan and I rush home from work take grandma to the doctor and they took x-rays she broke her toe,a piece of the bone chipped off and sprained her ankle. Oh gosh makes me feel so bad! On top of all this its my own damn fault because I'm a procrastnator and in all serious might have ADHD (I'm acutally going to make an appt to go see someone about that) (and its kind of funny because reading this post you can tell its hard for me to stay on track.) I have a chemistry test in the morning an assignment that was due last night, a biology report due on saturday and a biology test on monday. The one smart thing I did do was request this coming Monday off. I requested it yesterday because I started to feel overwhelmed. There is my story and I'm sticking to it. Pray, send good vibes that my head will not explode in the next few days cause it kind of feels like it.

A little bit of everything

I am so happy! We finally got my laptop fixed! YAY! I'm so grateful! We found this local guy who did it for a pretty good deal. While it was broken I had to do my homework and anything that needed to be done in the cold and lonely back room so needless to say the least amount of time I had to spend back there the better :D
Just to go back a tad bit Christmas and New Years were great. I got lots of lovely purses and presents. I bought Ben a shotgun...he was so surprised he absolutely loved it! It was so fun! We still have yet to go shooting with it though hopefully soon!

I am still working at Intermountain (believe it or not!) I actually really enjoy my job most days and have become quite passionate about health insurance so if you have questions...please ask! It's so interesting and it's amazing the things people don't know are available or what different documents etc. mean. Seriously email me if you have questions about a medial bill or insurance I would Love to help!
Ben is laid off still they told him around the beginning of April things should pick up. He says he is going crazy  at home all day and I don't blame him.
We are both going to school at SLCC. We are taking Biology and Biology Lab together. I'm taking Chemistry (again) and Ben is taking a math class. If all goes well I'm planning on going to Weber State online starting in the summer. According to my plans I should be all done with prerequisites by the end of this coming fall semester and I'm going to start sending out nursing applications like there is no tomorrow!!! So exciting!
We are signed up to do the Burley Idaho Spudman Triathlon in July with Mom and Dad Parry. We are doing it as a team so I am swimming (1 mile) Ben is biking (25 miles) and I'm going to run (6 miles). So fun!
Well that's my little update I was just so excited to have my laptop back and I'm home sick from work so I decided to blog. Yeah this winter season I've seriously had a terrible cold once a month. Not happy about that.

New years

2012...not sure where this thought came came from but I keep saying 2012 was a transition year. I don't feel like it was a great year but I feel like a lot happened and now I'm ready for 2013 and ready to make things happen! Looking back I learned so much about myself and how I function. I know 25 years old and I'm just figuring it out :) So where am I at now? We'll I'm still trying to get into a nursing program. I'm working for IHC in the billing department. Ben and I rent a house from my in laws I love to zumba and I'm excited to get fit and healthy in 2013. Ben and I are signed up for a triathlon in July we are doing it as a team its going to be a lot of fun. I should be done with all my nursing pre-reqs in December and ready to apply for nursing school. Its going to be a great year!
P.S. my laptop screen broke the week of finals so I don't get on the computer much. I ended up getting a C- in chemistry I need a C or better for reimbursement and I a C+ for nursing school so I will be retaking that class...joy :)

School Frusteration

So as you may or may not know I have been trying to get into nursing school for a bit... The way that this all came about is a few years back I was going to go to a technical college and get my medical assisting license. Then after talking to multiple people and doing some research I decided to do nursing instead. Ok hold on let me back up...When I graduated high school I wanted to become a dance teacher and open my own studio and maybe even teach at a jr. high or college. Then I decided I didn't need a degree in dance to open my own studio so why not just get a "back up" degree and I've always been extremely interested in the medical field. So back to me deciding to do nursing school so then after some more discussion Ben and I decided that going through the Army ROTC route would be the best way to pursue a nursing degree. If you go back a little on my blog you can read how that unfolded. Anywhoo, I obtained my CNA as part of a nursing school pre-req it was only like a 2 week class totally worth it. Well now just over 2 years since I decided to do nursing I am yet to be in nursing school and it is going to be about another year before I have the pre-reqs done to even apply. So here is my frustration  Chemistry is one of the pre-reqs for nursing. I took it this semester and have taken today off to study for this class because at this point I am not passing and I have a test tomorrow and a final on Tuesday. Now I am back to maybe wanting to do my MA. Not just because of  the Chemistry class but I'm just frustrated all together like what the crap am I doing????

There's my vent and why I haven't been blogging much lately because I'm trying to freaking pass my class!!!

In other news here is our beautimus Christmas tree. I think we did a pretty good job!
